In all ways, IBM has worked to update the user experience in Maximo 7.6.  The Maximo ‘classic’ user interface has been enhanced with sidebar navigation, better screen utilization and better visualization of data input requirements.  Even more impressive are the new Maximo Work Centers.  These deliver a modern, streamlined Maximo interface to both the back office personnel and field workforce.  Work Centers are role-based and device-agnostic.  They put the power of Maximo right where it belongs.

Moving Maximo to the Field

Maximo is the only Enterprise Asset Management system that is delivered, out-of-the-box, with embedded mobility.  Maximo Everyplace is now included with every user license.  The system enables configuration of IBM Maximo applications for optimal viewing on mobile devices.  Since these applications are cloud-based, users can access these services without having to install them on each device.  Maximo Everyplace is a key enabler of today’s mobile workforce - those who must travel across the workplace to collect valuable pieces of information.  Everyplace allows users to maintain accurate records of this information on the spot.  No need to wait until they reach their office desks to access Maximo.

Getting Insights from Your Data

Maximo 7.6 brings C-suite executives into the game with multiple new Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics tools.  The updated reporting architecture provides entitlement to the powerful Cognos BI Server enterprise products.

Business intelligence packs provide detailed performance metrics across key areas of your business; including Work Order, Asset, Asset Failure and Inventory Management.  New KPI applications and performance improvements enable users to access data quicker and in a larger variety of formats.  Users can create simple-to-advanced calculations, along with attribute summaries, with the enhanced ad-hoc reporting capabilities.  And if that wasn’t enough, Maximo also has built-in capability to utilize Watson Analytics within the Work Centers!
